More good news for Handsome Productions! We’ve been commissioned by MTV to produce a new reality format: starring eight twenty-somethings (and their grandparents) on Spring Break vacation. We’re currently casting for plucky OAPs on Twitter to act as wingmen and women for their grandkids, while the group spends four weeks living it up in a luxurious Mexican villa in Cancun. The 60-minute shows will go out on MTV international channels from June 2016 and are exec-produced by Nichola Hegarty and Sharon Stansfield here at Handsome, and by Craig Orr and Jake Attwell for MTV International. Nichola Hegarty says to expect moments “high in comedy entertainment” with the grandparent angle making for some truly “jaw-dropping moments”.While Sharon Stansfield adds: “Spring Break is the perfect backdrop for a big reality series, the grandparents provide an extra layer of comedy and classic fish-out-of-water moments. And who knows? Cupid may strike grandad too!”

It is now putting together a development team and will initially focus on pitching into primetime.’ The piece also touched on the considerable industry experience and unparalleled creativity of our Handsome’s co-founders, ‘Greenbird joint managing director Jamie Munro said: “Nicky and Sharon have a combined experience of producing mainstream hit shows.
